Understanding Why Satan Fears Man: Encouraging Men to Stand in Their God-Given Authority

The story of humanity's beginning, as depicted in the Bible, reveals  truths about our identity and purpose. One significant aspect of this occurrence is the interaction between Satan, Eve, and Adam. Understanding why Satan approached Eve instead of Adam and why he fears humanity can empower men to stand firm in their YAHVAH-given authority. This exploration, rooted in biblical scripture, will encourage men to embrace their divine purpose with confidence and conviction. Executing their God-given Authority over the enemy.

The Creation and Authority of Man
In the beginning, YHVH created the heavens and the earth, and everything in them. The pinnacle of His creation was humanity. Genesis 1:26-28 says:

"Then ELOHIM said, 'Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.' So ELOHIM created man in His own image; in the image of ELOHIM He created him; male and female He created them. Then ELOHIM blessed them, and ELOHIM said to them, 'Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."

From the very beginning, humanity was given authority and dominion over the earth. This divine mandate was a reflection of YHVH's intention for humanity to govern and steward His creation. Man was created in the image of YHVH, endowed with the ability to reflect His character and exercise His authority.

The Enemy's Fear of Humanity
Satan, originally a high-ranking angel, rebelled against YHVH and was cast out of heaven (Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:12-17). His rebellion was rooted in pride and a desire to usurp YHVH's authority. When YHVH created humanity and granted them dominion over the earth, it posed a significant threat to Satan's plans.

Satan fears humanity because we are made in YHVH's image and given authority over the earth. This divine authority is a constant reminder of Satan's own failed rebellion and his limited power. By attacking humanity, Satan seeks to undermine YHVH's creation and authority.

Why Satan Approached Eve First
The question arises: why did Satan approach Eve instead of Adam? Genesis 3:1-6 provides the account:

"Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which ELOHIM had made. And he said to the woman, 'Has ELOHIM indeed said, "You shall not eat of every tree of the garden"?' And the woman said to the serpent, 'We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, ELOHIM has said, "You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die."' Then the serpent said to the woman, 'You will not surely die. For ELOHIM knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like ELOHIM, knowing good and evil.' So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate."

Satan approached Eve first for several reasons:

1. Deception and Manipulation: Eve was not the direct recipient of YHVH's command regarding the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; Adam was (Genesis 2:16-17). Satan exploited this, twisting YHVH's words and sowing doubt in Eve's mind. By targeting Eve, Satan aimed to deceive and manipulate, knowing she might be more susceptible to his cunning lies.
2. Undermining the Order of Authority: YHVH established a divine order in creation, with Adam being created first and given the primary responsibility of stewardship. By approaching Eve, Satan sought to undermine this order, creating discord and confusion.
3.Indirect Influence on Adam: Satan knew that if he could deceive Eve, she could influence Adam. This indirect approach was strategic, aiming to cause both of them to fall into sin and disobedience.

The Consequences of the Fall

The fall of humanity had devastating consequences. Adam and Eve's disobedience resulted in sin entering the world, severing their direct relationship with YHVH, and bringing about physical and spiritual death (Genesis 3:16-19). However, even in the midst of judgment, YHVH provided a promise of redemption. Genesis 3:15 contains the first messianic prophecy:

"And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel."
This prophecy foretold the coming of YAHSHUA, who would ultimately defeat Satan and restore humanity's relationship with YHVH.

Redeemed Authority Through YAHSHUA
YAHSHUA, the Son of YHVH, came to earth to redeem humanity and restore our lost authority. Through His life, death, and resurrection, YAHSHUA conquered sin, death, and the powers of darkness. Colossians 2:13-15 states:

"And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it."

Through YAHSHUA, we are not only forgiven and reconciled to YHVH, but we are also restored to our original purpose and authority. Ephesians 2:4-6 affirms this:

"But YHVH, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with YAHSHUA (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in YAHSHUA."

Encouraging Men to Stand in Their God-Given Authority
Understanding our redeemed authority in YAHSHUA is crucial for men to stand firm and fulfill their divine calling. Here are some practical ways to embrace and exercise this authority:

1. Know Your Identity in YAHSHUA: Recognize that you are a new creation in YAHSHUA (2 Corinthians 5:17). Your identity is rooted in Him, and you are empowered by His Spirit to walk in victory.

2. Understand the Authority of YHVH's Word: Study and meditate on the Scriptures. The Word of YHVH is a powerful weapon against the enemy's lies and deceptions. Ephesians 6:17 (NKJV) says,

"And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of YHVH."

3. Pray with Authority: YAHSHUA taught us to pray with boldness and confidence. In Matthew 18:18-20, He said,

"Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."

4. Live a Life of Obedience: Obedience to YHVH's commands is a powerful testimony of your faith and authority. James 4:7 instructs,

"Therefore submit to YHVH. Resist the devil and he will flee from you."

5.Walk in the Spirit: Be led by the Holy Spirit in every aspect of your life. Galatians 5:16 says,

"I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh."

6. Engage in Spiritual Warfare: Recognize that we are in a spiritual battle. Ephesians 6:10-12 reminds us,

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in YHVH and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of YHVH, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."

Satan fears humanity because we are made in the image of YHVH and endowed with His authority. By understanding why Satan approached Eve and not Adam, we gain insight into the enemy's strategies and the importance of standing firm in our YAHVAH-given authority. Through YAHSHUA, we are redeemed and restored, empowered to fulfill our divine calling.

Men, you are called to be leaders, warriors, and stewards of YHVH's creation. MANIFEST your identity in YAHSHUA, wield the authority of YHVH's Word, pray with boldness, live in obedience, walk in the Spirit. RISE UP!!!
